A fix should never have to be found twice

Book a personalized demo and see the next breakdown start from the last fix.

See how Norlan helps maintenance teams solve breakdowns faster and keep what they learn, in a 30-minute session built around the plant's equipment.

During your demo, we'll show you how to:

  • Ask a machine, get a cited answer
  • Work an incident in its thread
  • Close it with cause and fix
  • Turn a solved thread into a guide
  • See what repeats across the plant
  • Keep your CMMS, migrate nothing

How it compounds

Diagnosis takes less time every time the same failure comes back, in any plant.

Nobody writes a document in between. The fix stays on the model, so the next technician starts where the last one finished, wherever that machine runs.

  1. 1st · Berlin4 h

Nobody has seen it. The thread is the work: the photos, the manual, everything that was tried.

  2. 2nd · Milan40 min

Same model, another plant. Norlan answers with the fix from Berlin.

  3. 3rd · Lyon12 min

By now it is a guide on the model. Every unit of it gets it, in every plant.

Check belt tension before the calibration: on this model it slackens after a format change. The K4 relay works loose too, and the fault comes back within the hour if it is not reseated.

Line map

Every machine, manual and thread, in the order your line runs.

Each machine sits where it runs on the line, with its manual, its notes and every thread about it. Norlan uses that map to help any technician on shift, and someone new learns the line from it.

What it does

Cuts the frozen loin into portions for the current format.

Look here first

Short-weight portions usually mean the product came in too warm, not a blade problem.

  • Every machine

Where it runs, what it does and what depends on it.

  • Every manual

On the machine it belongs to, next to what the plant knows and the manual leaves out.

  • Every thread

Each past failure on the machine where it happened, so the next answer starts from it.

The Norlan difference

Most tools help find an answer. Norlan is where the answer gets created.

Knowledge is a by-product of the work

Nobody sits down to document. Symptoms, checks, decisions and outcomes are kept from the thread where the incident was solved.

It knows where a fix applies

A resolution is attached to a component, a unit, a model — not to “a similar case”. That is what lets every other unit of the model inherit it.

Evidence and a person, not a confident machine

Answers cite the document page, the intervention or the guide. Procedures are published because someone reviewed them.

Nothing to migrate

Assets and locations imported from the ERP or CMMS, documents loaded as they are. The systems of record stay exactly where they are.

It works on day one, without content

Load the manuals as they are and import the installed base. The assistant answers from the first afternoon and says where it is thin.

Before you book

Does Norlan replace our CMMS?

No. The CMMS stays where it is and keeps doing what it does — work orders, planning, assets, traceability. Norlan holds the part it was never designed for: the reasoning behind the intervention, attached to the machine it belongs to.

How disruptive is deployment?

Deliberately not. The installed base is imported from the ERP or CMMS as a tree of locations, the document library goes in as it is, and Norlan proposes which documents belong to which models. It starts on one site and one workflow.

What happens when the AI does not know?

It says so. Every answer is grounded in the machines' actual record — manuals, procedures, approved guides and past activity — and cited to its source. If the record does not contain the answer, Norlan does not invent one.

How is our operational data handled?

Data is isolated per customer and is not used to train external models. The plant decides what may be read in the first place: filters block documents before anything is indexed.
